Here are five ways you can help make justice work:
- Sign up – Add your name to our campaign and receive regular updates including news about upcoming Make Justice Work events and initiatives.
- Write to your MP – Protest about the huge amount of public resources being wasted on short term prison sentences and demand more investment in effective community solutions. Find out who your MP is here.
- Write to your newspaper – Whether it’s a national broadsheet or your local rag writing a letter to the editor is a great way of raising awareness of the expense and ineffectiveness of short-term prison sentences and/or celebrating initiatives that are more effective at reducing re-offending and improving public safety.
- Volunteer – Give up some of your time and witness first hand the positive impact you can have on individuals within the criminal justice system and society as a whole. From magistrates to mentors there are countless opportunities to volunteer and make a difference. To find out more about opportunities near you click here.
- Make a donation – Make Justice Work is an independent organisation dedicated averting the current crisis in our penal and criminal justice system. We receive no money from the Home Office or the Ministry of Justice. Our work is funded by grants and the generous donations of our supporters.
